Helical Piers Repair Foundation in Chanhassen, MN

Challenge

Linda A. in Chanhassen, MN had a crack in her concrete block foundation that was continuously widening. She also had a small front porch with a concrete base that was cracking and crumbling. The foundation of her home had started sinking and settling because the soil beneath the foundation was unstable. If she chose to leave her foundation problem unattended to, her foundation could eventually fail. Linda was considering rebuilding the porch and replacing the foundation, but while she was researching her options, she discovered American Waterworks on Home Advisor.

Solution

American Waterworks solved her foundation problem by installing 6 Helical piers underneath the foundation. We excavated the soil around the home to gain access to the base of the foundation. Then, we installed the 6 piers under the foundation and added helical pier sections until we reached competent soil to support the home. The weight of the home is then transferred through the helical piers to deep, stable soils. The home has been lifted back to its original position and it is now permanently supported.
