Wet Basement Transformed into a Dry, Clean Space in Fountain City, WI

Challenge

Curtis C. in Fountain City, WI had water building up in his block foundation. The water started leaking through his block foundation walls into his basement, creating pools of water and making the basement an unhealthy space. He noticed that mold had started forming in certain areas of his basement due to the water. After researching waterproofing contractors, he decided that American Waterworks was the best fit for him, so he contacted us for a free estimate.

Solution

After meeting with one of our Design Specialists, Curtis felt confident in our system and was ready to have it installed. Our production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor and a small strip of concrete through the middle of the floor. They set the WaterGuard and lateral line in place and then filled back the gaps with rock. They also installed the TripleSafe sump pump and a battery backup in the corner of the basement. The CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed along the basement walls to prevent potential mold growth and keep moisture out. Lastly, they replaced the concrete and cleaned their work area. Curtis was pleased with the result and is happy to have a dry and healthier basement.
