Wet Basement Transformed into a Dry, Clean Space in Nashua, IA
Challenge
Dorothy B. in Nashua, IA had water in her basement for two years and her basement was starting to smell very musty. She was concerned about the air quality in their basement and the damage it was causing to their property, so she contacted American Waterworks to receive a free estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, to her home to inspect her basement and design the right waterproofing solution. She appreciated the time that Pete spent with her to make sure he addressed all of her concerns, so she scheduled the installation.
Solution
Our production team installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement and a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner. We also installed our EverLast Finished Wall Restoration System which provides a solution for homeowners who have experienced wet, damaged or moldy walls in their finished basement. This wall system includes metal studs and an inorganic, mold-resistant wall product that replaces the bottom 32" of your home's drywall. Dorothy is pleased that her basement is now a dry, healthier space. She is glad she chose American Waterworks to restore her home!
