Basement in Canton, MN Gets Waterproofed

Challenge

Glenn P. in Canton, MN had water leaking into his basement that was creating a musty smell and causing damage to some of his belongings. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a free estimate, so we sent a Design Specialists to his home as soon as we could. After he inspected Glenn’s home, he created a thorough plan to waterproof his basement for the long-term. Glenn was impressed with our products and design, so he scheduled the installation.

Solution

Our production team started the installation by removing a portion of the concrete around the perimeter of the basement to create a trench. Then, they laid our WaterGuard drainage system and installed the SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the basement. The WaterGuard gets tied into the sump pump so that water can properly flow into the basket of the sump and then get discharged from the home. From there, we filled back the gaps in the trench with rock and replaced the concrete. The installation only took a day to complete, and now Glenn is enjoying a dry, healthier basement!
