Sunken Driveway in Dover, MN Raised and Restored
Challenge
Barbara A. in Dover, MN had a sunken driveway and a sunken walkway on the side of her house that was causing a trip hazard. She wanted to find a fast, non-invasive and affordable solution to her concrete problems, so she began researching contractors. She discovered American Waterworks and was interested to learn more about our PolyLevel foam solution. After contacting us for a free estimate, one of our Design Specialists went onsite to inspect her concrete and propose a solution. Barbara was pleased to learn that PolyLevel is more durable and less-invasive than traditional mudjacking, so she scheduled the project.
Solution
Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes through the concrete and injected the polymer foam which expands and hardens under the concrete, causing the concrete to raise. They repeated this process numerous times until the driveway and walkways were raised back to their original position. Lastly, they sealed the holes in the concrete with fresh concrete and cleaned their work area. The project only took a couple of hours to complete, and now Barbara can enjoy a safe, beautiful driveway for years to come!
