Damaged Foundation Repaired in Stewart, MN

Challenge

Jason P. in Stewart, MN was concerned about his severely bowing and cracked foundation walls. He started doing some research and was glad to learn that American Waterworks has been the leading contractor in foundation repair in the region for nearly 3 decades. He contacted us, and we sent our Design Specialist, Jeremy Radtke, to evaluate the situation and propose a solution. Jason approved of the plan and moved forward with an installation date.

Solution

Our production team installed 24 Geo-Lock wall anchors around the damaged foundation by drilling long metal rods through the brick wall into the soil outside of the home. The rods are then secured with wall plates on either end. Once the anchors are tightened, the wall becomes secured and starts to straighten. The installation process took a couple of days, but our foundation repair systems are guaranteed for a lifetime, so Jason has peace of mind that his foundation is permanently protected.

Before foundation repair. Severely cracked and bowing basement wall.

Holes have been dug so that our team can install the wall plates to secure the rods. The rod needs to be secured on both the inside and outside of the home. Once the rods are secured, our team will replace the soil.

The plates have been secured to each end of the metal rod and the foundation wall in now stabilized.
