Geo-Lock Anchors Stabilize Foundation in Eau Claire, WI
Challenge
Don B. in Eau Claire, WI contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our commercials on WEAU. His foundation walls were bowing and cracking, and water was seeping into his home. He was concerned about the structural integrity of his home, and he knew he needed to address the issue before it got any worse. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to meet with Don and evaluate the situation. Shane recommended our Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to stabilize and straighten the foundation. Don approved of the plan and moved forward with the installation.
Solution
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew began the project by excavating the soil surrounding the home to gain access to the foundation. They installed 13 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors by drilling small holes through the block foundation and inserting long metal rods through the walls and into the soil surrounding the foundation. Then, the crew secured the rods by placing plates on each end and tightening them. The anchors immediately halted any further deterioration, and as they are tightened over time, they will gradually straighten the wall. The crew wrapped up the project with installing our SentrySeal Waterproofing Membrane to the exterior foundation and our SilverGlo Insulation System to hold back moisture and ensure energy efficient insulation. Don is happy with the results, and his peace of mind has been restored!
