Foundation Restored in Northwood, IA

Challenge

Jim H. in Northwood, IA had a leaning foundation around his garage that was only getting worse over time. He was concerned about the structural integrity of his foundation and if it was negatively influencing the value of his home. He found our website online and gave us a call. We sent our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, to meet with Jim, inspect the situation, and propose the best solution for his home. Jim approved of the plan and moved forward with the project.

Solution

Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production crew were successfully able to stabilize Jim’s foundation with the installation of 6 Geo-Lock anchors and 5 Push Piers. The piers solved his settlement problem by transferring the weight of the home to strong, competent supporting soils at a greater depth, and the wall anchors stabilize and straighten the walls. Jim also chose to have one of our RockWell egress windows installed. He was happy to invest in the stability of his home, and we are glad we could restore his peace of mind!
