Wet Basement Restored in Roberts, WI

Challenge

Kelly M. in Roberts, WI contacted American Waterworks after doing some research online. She built an addition on her house 8 years ago, but now she had some water seeping into the basement. She wanted to permanently fix the problem, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to evaluate the situation and propose a unique solution for her home. After Chad’s inspection, he was able to recommend a combination of our waterproofing products. Kelly approved of the plan and moved forward with the project.

Solution

Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production team began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench. Then, they laid the WaterGuard in the trench and installed a SuperSump sump pump. They filled back the gaps with rock and then replaced the concrete around the sump pump and over the WaterGuard. Water now properly drains to the sump pump through the WaterGuard. The water is then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Kelly’s peace of mind has been restored, and she can now enjoy a dry, healthier basement for years to come!
