Wet Basement Restored in Rockford, MN
Challenge
David O. in Rockford, MN contacted American Waterworks after being referred to us by a previous customer. He had water seeping into the basement, and he wanted to permanently fix the problem. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to evaluate the situation and propose a unique solution for his home. After Shane’s inspection, he was able to recommend a combination of our waterproofing products. David approved of the plan and moved forward with the project.
Solution
Our Production team began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench. Then, they laid the WaterGuard in the trench and installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. Lastly, they installed our Foamax Insulated Panels on the walls for a bright, clean look and extra energy savings. They completed the project with filling back the gaps with rock and then replaced the concrete around the sump pump and over the WaterGuard. Water now properly drains to the sump pump through the WaterGuard. The water is then expelled from the home through the discharge line. David’s peace of mind has been restored, and he can now enjoy a dry, healthier basement for years to come!
