Restored Crawl Space in Frazee, MN
Challenge
Excess water moisture causes mold growth, dust mites, inspects, and other pests. It can also cause structural damage to a home's framing and can eat away at the insulation. In fact, poor quality air allergens caused from mold and dust mites can affect a homeowner's health. With that said, a crawl space vapor barrier can stop hundreds of gallons of ground water per year from finding its way into the home and damaging it.
Homeowners in Frazee, MN were encountering these same issues in the crawl space of their home. They did some research on Google and came across the American Waterworks website. They called our office line to set up a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Rick Weber. Rick went to their home, inspected their problems, and gave them some options, one of them being our CrawlSpace Encapsulation vapor barrier. The homeowners were confident in Rick's proposal so they went ahead with the project.
Solution
Our Foreman, Patrick Burnes, and his production team began the installation by laying 735 feet of drainage matting on the crawl space floor. The drainage matting is made to give water a channel underneath the crawl space liner, which directs it to the crawl space drain and sump pump system. Next, Patrick and his team installed 735 feet of our CleanSpace Encapsulation vapor barrier. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that stops moisture from passing through the walls and concrete floors. While giving the space a neat and clean appearance, it also helps prevent mold and humidity build-up. The homeowners were thrilled with the work and were satisfied with everyone they worked with!
