Preventative Deck Stabilization in Garrison, ND

Challenge

Sharon, from Garrison, ND got in contact with us when she began to think about beginning the project of having a deck installed in her backyard. Sharon was concerned that sinking soil in her backyard could make her deck unstable. She was interested in looking into preventative measures that could be taken to ensure that her deck would stay put. She did her research and came across our company. When she called, we set her up with our FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the property to see what could be done. 

Solution

After Ian completed his walkthrough, he recommended the use of our helical piers to stabilize the future deck. Ian explained that these piers have a helical plate welded to the shaft, which helps to pull the pier into the soil during installation and provides anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation or structural element is transferred to the pier. He went on to say that these piers are ideal for lighter structures. 

Sharon agreed to the proposal and work began weeks later. 

Our Foreman for the project, Sam, ended up strategically installing 7 of our Helical piers throughout the backyard of the home. Now Sharon can have the deck of her dreams without worrying that unstable soil will rain on her parade.
