Failing Foundation Gets Repaired in Becker, MN

Challenge

Paul, from Becker, MN, was growing more and more concerned about the state of the foundation of his home. He had noticed some interior cracking and hard to open doors and windows, which indicate a deeper problem with the foundation. He wanted to know what could be done about the situation, so he called our office and we set him up with a FREE estimate. 

Solution

A few weeks later one of our Design Specialist, Dylan, headed out to the property to assess the situation and see what could be done to remedy it. Once he arrived, he got right to work with his thorough inspection. Once he concluded, he informed Paul that the foundation did require attention, as it was settling and becoming unstable. Dylan recommended the use of our helical piers. Dylan explained that our helical piers work by hydraulically "screwing" our helix shape piers deep into the soil. Dylan went on to say that the weight of the home is then transferred through the helical piers to deep, competent soils. Lifting the home back towards its original position is attempted. Then, the soil around the foundation is carefully replaced.

Paul agreed and work began shortly after. Our Foreman and his team ended up installing 12 of our helical piers around the foundation of the home. Once the job was complete Paul was thrilled to know he no longer had to worry about his settling foundation!
