Failing Wall Gets Stabilized in Ashley, ND

Challenge

A homeowner in Ashley, North Dakota discovered a fracture on their basement wall. Following the discovery, the homeowner attempted to solve the issue with a "do it yourself" fix. Unsuccessful, the homeowner decided to seek further assistance. Design Specialist, James, completed a FREE estimate and proposed a solution the homeowners agreed upon.

Solution

James assessed the walls would need to be stabilized and straightened with PowerBrace repair systems. Franklin and the crew successfully installed 14 PowerBrace stabilizers and an Aprilaire E70 humidifier.

The crew began by cutting the wall braces and securing the floor joist hardware. Next, they fine-tuned the PowerBrace positions before attaching the braces to the floor. Finally, they were able to straighten the walls by buckling the foundation back towards its original position. Before completing the job, the Aprilaire E70 dehumidifier was put in place to take care of humidity. The basement wall has now been stabilized and straightened. The homeowner is happy with the results and we are glad to have resolved their issue.
