Bowing Wall Concerns Homeowners in Brooten, MN

Challenge

While preparing their home for the upcoming winter, a homeowner in Brooten, MN, discovered cracks along their basement wall. The homeowners took action immediately and signed up for their FREE estimate from American Waterworks. We sent out our Service Technician, Marc, to diagnose the issue with basement cracking and provide a solution for the worried homeowners.

Solution

Marc suggested that two PowerBraces be placed along the southern wall to support the bowing wall. Additionally, Marc recommended that footings would need to be poured for both PowerBraces. Our foreman, Juan, and his crew began their work by preparing the deteriorating wall near the stairs. The footings were poured and PowerBraces were secured in the correct place. Before the crew's arrival, American Waterworks recommended removing all low and no-access crawl spaces to allow the crew to conduct a full inspection. The crew efficiently completed the job and the homeowners felt peace of mind knowing they prevented any further damage to their home.
