Weakening Foundation in Courtenay, ND

Challenge

A homeowner was enjoying time with family when they came across wet cement in their basement. Bothered by the discovery, the homeowners began searching for a solution. During their search, the homeowner came across the FREE estimate with American Waterworks. Our Design Specialist, Dylan, visited the home and came up with a solution. 

Solution

Dylan suggested that WaterGuards and Foamax should be installed in the home. The homeowners agreed and the crew began their work. To start the project, the crew demolished the fireplace. After the fireplace was removed, the WaterGuards could be properly installed throughout the perimeter of the home. The crew dug the trenches near the footing of the basement walls. Once the WaterGuard was installed, the crew sealed the channels with cement. Next, the crew installed FoamMax on the walls where the fireplace was removed. Finally, the crew tied the water systems and the job was complete. The homeowner was relieved that their basement was properly waterproofed.
