Damaged Foundation Wall in Alma, WI

Challenge

A homeowner in Alma, WI, discovered a noticeably large crack in the foundation underneath their porch. Knowing this could lead to significant damage, the homeowner decided to have the issue repaired. The homeowner saw the great reviews from past customers, so they contacted us and signed up for their FREE estimate. Brian, one of our Design Specialists, went to the home and assessed the status of the foundation. Once his in-depth assessment was complete, Brian told the homeowners that the wall showed signs of early failure and the garage foundation was sinking. Brian suggested that the homeowner stabilize the struggling wall and lift the garage concrete. The homeowner agreed and the plans were sent to the assigned crew.

Solution

Our Foreman, Oscar, and his crew traveled to the home to begin repairs. First, the crew worked on the cracked garage floor. To lift and level the foundation as much as they could, the crew utilized the PolyLevel. After lifting and leveling as much as they could, the crew filled the gaps scattered on the floor. Once the garage floors were repaired, the crew moved on to installing the Geo-Locks. Along the west foundation wall, the crew installed two Geo-Lock anchors six feet apart. The crew installed the Geo-Locks successfully and completed the repairs for the home. After seeing all the great work completed, the homeowners would gladly work with American Waterworks again.
