A homeowner in Hampton, MN, grew concerned about the status of their basement's ceiling. Wanting a professional opinion, the homeowner began searching for the company best fit for their situation. Once the appointment details were set, one of our Design Specialist, Mac, arrived at the home to begin his evaluation. Following his evaluation, Mac determined that the home's floors required permanent stabilization. Mac provided the homeowners with multiple versions of his suggested solution. The homeowners chose the solution that best fit their situation and the plans were sent to the assigned crew.

Solution

Our Foreman, Victor, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. First, the crew began by installing a new main support beam to replace the old rotting beam on the ceiling. Once the main beam was put into place, the crew shifted their focus to installing SmartJacks in the basement. The crew installed five SmartJacks along the main beam. The SmartJack system provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams, which will restore stability and sagging floor joists. The crew successfully installed all the SmartJacks along the center main beam, so they began cleaning up the job site and left the home.
