A homeowner in Clearwater, MN, knew it was time to have their crawl space inspected. Knowing they needed a professional to perform the inspection, the homeowner began searching for the right company. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane, to evaluate the status of the crawl space. Upon arrival, Shane was welcomed by the homeowners and then was directed to the crawl space. After completing his thorough inspection, Shane suggested that the crawl space be encapsulated.

Solution

After weighing their options, the homeowner decided to follow Shane's plan. Once they received the okay, the crew was sent the plans and traveled to the home. To begin the encapsulation, the crew cleaned out the debris from the crawl space. Once all the debris was out of the way, the crew could lay down the Drainage Matting, an extremely durable matting that creates a drainage space and thermal break. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace on the crawl space walls and floor. CleanSpace is a thick liner that acts as a vapor barrier for your crawl space. Then, the crew installed the Foamax on top of the CleanSpace. Installing Foamax, regulates the temperature and lowers heating costs in your crawl space. Once the Foamax was in place, the crew cleaned their materials and left the home. The homeowners were impressed with the crawl space transformation.
