Wooden Post Replaced in Monticello, MN
Challenge
A homeowner in Monticello, MN, noticed their floors were beginning to sag. Attempting to solve it themselves, the homeowner decided to put up a wooden post in the middle of their basement. Wanting a long-term solution, the homeowner sought an expert's opinion. After searching for a while, the homeowner finally came across one of our testimonials and was interested in our services. After signing up for their FREE estimate, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Ryan, one of our Design Specialists. After Ryan greeted the homeowners, he began his inspection of the basement. Once he completed the inspection, Ryan determined that the wooden post required replacement.
Solution
Ryan suggested that the wooden post be replaced with a SmartJack, high-capacity adjustable steel pier designed to stop settling and raise the floor back to where it was. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed. The plans were set and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Gustavo, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. After confirming the basement was clear, the crew took out the old wooden post. Once taken out, the crew could put the SmartJack into place. SmartJack system can support up to loads of more than 60,000 lbs. After the SmartJack was installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowners were pleased to know they have a heavy-duty support beam in their home. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!
