Damp Floors Saved in Kasson, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Kasson, MN, noticed a musty odor in their basement. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner did an investigation to find the source. After searching, the homeowner discovered several wet spots in the corner of the basement. The homeowner knew they needed professional assistance, so they asked their friend if they had any suggestions. Their friend recommended signing up for our FREE estimate and the homeowner agreed. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Nick, one of our Design Specialists. Nick arrived at the home and began his inspection. During his investigation, Nick found where the source of the water was coming from.

Solution

As soon as Nick found the source of the issue, he could come up with a solution for the homeowner. Nick suggested installing the WaterGuard and the TripleSafe sump pump. After deliberating their options, the homeowner agreed with Nick's suggestions. The plans were sent to our Forman, Gabriel, and his crew to begin the production preparations. Gabriel and his crew arrived at the home and began the project. First, Gabriel and his crew installed the WaterGuard around the basement. The WaterGuard is our award-winning, patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. Once the WaterGuard was installed, the crew installed the TripleSafe to replace the old sump pump. Then, the crew attached CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is ideal for unfinished basement walls. To wrap up the installation, the crew attached an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. The IceGuard is an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of your home and ejects water away from the foundation. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was thankful to know their basement was no longer at risk.
