Flooded Basement Saved in Waukon, IA

Challenge

A homeowner in Waukon, IA, had a bad feeling water snuck into their basement after a heavy storm. After investigating the basement, their worries were confirmed. The homeowner discovered large pools of water throughout the basement floor. Shocked and worried, the homeowner immediately searched for an expert to repair their basement. We sent Rick, one of our veteran Design Specialists, quickly went to the home and provided the homeowner with a solution. After Rick arrived, he saw the pools of water spread throughout the basement. He knew the source was coming from the bottom of the basement walls and he alerted the homeowner of his findings.

Solution

After Rick found the source, he could recommend a solution for the homeowner. Rick suggested installing the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and installing a new sump pump. Wanting this issue to be resolved for good, the homeowner agreed. The plans were sent to our Foreman, Jeromy, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Once they arrived, the crew began by installing the WaterGuard around the edge of the basement. In addition, the crew installed a feed line across the basement floor. Next, the crew removed the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+. The crew tied the SuperSump+ into the new WaterGuard system. After all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was secured.
