Sealed Stoop in Maple Grove, MN

Challenge

In Maple Grove, MN a homeowner noticed that a large gap between his front stoop and the sidewalk had formed. Rather than let the problem continue to grow worse, and even possibly be a tripping hazard for those visiting, he decided to find a solution. During his search of businesses in the nearby area, he came across our American Waterworks website. The thing that caught his eye was how we offer FREE estimate appointments for a Design Specialist to visit the home prior to the homeowner agreeing to a plan. He chose to sign up for an estimate and was later greeted by our Design Specialist Kyle Peters.

Solution

Kyle arrived at the house ready for the inspection and to find a way to fix the issue for the homeowner. He had seen many similar issues before with front sidewalks and stoops, all that were able to be fixed. Kyle informed the homeowner of his plan to install PolyLevel and NexusPro to the area which would lift, level, and smooth the stoop area. The homeowner agreed to the plans and was eager for the process to move forward. When our Foreman, Domanik Adams, along with his helpful crew arrived at the home, they were prepared for the concrete repairs. They first started with the PolyLevel, an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface. Next, they installed the NexusPro, a long-lasting solution for repairing cracks in any concrete slab. They finished by cleaning up the area and their materials, leaving the homeowner pleased with the smoothed stoop result.
