Damp Crawl Space Encapsulated in Genoa, WI
Challenge
A homeowner in Genoa, WI, noticed their energy bill was higher than normal. After doing some research, they discovered that a possible culprit could be issues properly insulating their crawl space. Wanting a professional solution, the homeowner looked into crawl space repair near them. After some research, the homeowner came across some of our crawl space encapsulation projects. Impressed by our work, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Trevor, one of our Design Specialist. After Trevor arrived at the home, he began his detailed estimate of the crawl space.
Solution
During his investigation, Trevor found that the crawl space was poorly insulated and needed to be repaired. Trevor recommended encapsulating the crawl space, which would cut their energy bill down. After some deliberation, the homeowner decided to go along with Trevor's recommendations. The plans were directed to the office for final approval and then sent to our Foreman, Diego. After Diego received the plans, he and his crew traveled to Genoa to begin the project. Once they arrived, the crew began by laying the Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Drainage Matting is an extremely durable matting that creates space between CleanSpace and the ground below. Next, the crew laid CleanSpace on the basement floor and walls. CleanSpace is a heavy, thick liner that acts as a vapor barrier for your crawl space. Once the CleanSpace was secured, the crew attached Foamax, an advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel that is designed to crawl space humidity. Finally, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was given peace of mind knowing their crawl space was properly encapsulated.
