Fallen Insulation Repaired in Bismarck, ND

Challenge

A homeowner in Bismarck, ND, knew it was time to take a look a their crawl space. After taking a look, the homeowner noticed their insulation was hanging from the ceiling and there was standing water throughout. Worried there was a larger issue at hand, the homeowner hoped to find a solution. The homeowner looked at several online referral sites to find the best company for them and decided to work with us, American Waterworks. Next, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Kole. Following his arrival, Kole took a closer look at the struggling crawl space.

Solution

Kole discovered the insulation was falling due to excess moisture in the crawl space. To solve the issue, Kole recommended fully encapsulating the crawl space. The homeowner knew this was their best option, so they agreed with Kole's recommendation. Kole passed the plans along to the office to be approved. Once they were approved, they were sent to our Foreman, Roel, and his crew. Roel and his crew traveled to the home and began the project by taking out all the fallen insulation and debris. Once they were removed, Roel and his crew installed Drainage Matting, an extremely durable matting that creates drainage space and a thermal break between CleanSpace and the ground beneath. Once the Drainage Matting was installed, the crew installed CleanSpace on the crawl space floors and walls. CleanSpace is a heavy 20-mil thick liner that acts as a vapor barrier for your crawl space. The crew successfully encapsulated the entire crawl space, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was in awe of the incredible transformation by the crew.
