Fayette, IA, Foundation Supported with SmartJacks

A homeowner in Fayette, IA, noticed their doors and windows were getting stuck. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner began looking into foundation repair options closest to them. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner asked a neighbor who had a similar issue. Their neighbor recommended working with us, American Waterworks, and the homeowner took a closer look at our foundation repair products. Solution

Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Ryan, one of our Design Specialists. Ryan made his way to the home and began his thorough investigation of the home's foundation. After taking a closer look, Ryan discovered the floors were not properly supported. To prevent the floors from sinking further, Ryan recommended installing new supplemental beams and SmartJacks. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with Ryan's proposal. Next, Ryan passed the plans along to our Logistics team to approve and schedule the project. Next, the project was assigned to our Field Supervisor, Rene, and his crew. As soon as they received the proposal, Rene and his team traveled to begin the supplemental beam and SmartJack installation. Once they arrived, Rene and his team started by installing two supplemental beams in the basement. Next, the crew shifted their focus to installing six SmartJacks on these supplemental beams. SmartJacks are a high-capacity adjustable steel pier designed to stop settling and even raise your floor back to its original position. Once all the SmartJacks were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was happy with the work completed by the crew.
