La Crosse, WI, Leaky Walls and Settled Foundation Repaired

Challenge

A homeowner in La Crosse, WI, noticed their doors and windows were beginning to stick. Worried this was a sign of serious issues, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution. Knowing they could not fix the issues themselves, the homeowner asked their neighbors, who had a similar issue, for any recommendations. The neighbor recommended working with us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to give us a call and sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Dustin.

Solution

Dustin made his way to the home and began the thorough inspection of the exterior and interior foundation. During his inspection, Dustin confirmed the foundation was beginning to settle due to poor soil compaction. To stop the settlement from continuing, Dustin recommended installing push piers and carbon armor strips. Additionally, Dustin found that there was water leaking from the basement walls. To prevent the damage from continuing, Dustin recommended installing WaterGuard and replacing the new sump pump. After hearing Dustin’s recommendations, the homeowner knew it was the best option for their home. The homeowner agreed with Dustin’s recommendations, then the plans were passed along to the office to approve the plans. After the plans were approved, our Logistics team scheduled the project with our Foreman, Jesus, and his crew. The next month, Jesus and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Jesus and his crew began by installing Push Piers on the outside foundation. After the Push Piers were properly installed, the crew attached CarbonArmor strips to the unfinished basement walls. CarbonArmor is an adhesive strip that secures struggling foundation walls. Following the Carbon Amor installation, the crew installed WaterGuard, an innovative below-floor drain. Next, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+, one of our elite sump pump systems. As soon as all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their foundation and basement were safe from future damage.
