Sidewalk and Driveway Leveling in Lake Elmo, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Lake Elmo, MN, had noticed multiple signs of concrete damage, such as sinking sidewalks, an uneven driveway, and cracked concrete. Wanting to address the issue right away, he decided to look into concrete leveling services in the area and came upon our website. After browsing our website, he was impressed with our job stories and decided to claim his FREE estimate.

Solution

Our Design Specialist, Dave S., arrived at the home on the scheduled date and conducted a thorough inspection of the driveway, sidewalk, and porch. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of concrete damage is soil compaction and settling. When a soil's load-bearing capacity exceeds, the soil compacts and settles. As the soil expands and contracts beneath the concrete, it will cause the concrete slab to sink and heave. This can also lead to cracks forming in one or more parts of the slab. Due to this, Dave suggested having the concrete lifted using our PolyLevel and sealing the cracks and joints using NexusPro. The homeowner was thankful for Dave's explanation and decided to move forward with his design. Dave's designs were then sent to our Foreman, Dylon V.

In about two months, Dylon and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The concrete is lifted by first drilling small holes into the slab. Then, PolyLevel is injected and will expand in the space between the soil and concrete. Once all of the concrete has been lifted and leveled out, NexusPro is placed on the cracks and joints of the slabs. Once this was done, the holes on the concrete slabs were concealed with concrete, and Dylon and his crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
