Settling Walkway Lifted and Repaired in Saint Paul, MN
Challenge
A homeowner in Saint Paul, MN noticed that the concrete slabs along her front walkway had begun settling posing a trip hazard for friends and family. Wanting to address the issue immediately rather than waiting until it worsened, she quickly began searching for concrete lifting services in the area. The homeowner eventually found our website, and after a quick review the homeowner decided to contact us to schedule her FREE estimate.
Solution
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Kyle P., arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to provide a thorough inspection. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of settling concrete is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground underneath the slabs and washes away the supporting soils. For this reason, Kyle recommended our PolyLevel, a waterproof foam formula designed to lift concrete slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility to seal joints and repair cracks. The homeowner was grateful for Kyle's explanation and decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Patrick B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slabs and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, expanding and filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the slab has been lifted, the crew ensures it is level before sealing the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the joints and repair the cracks on the walkway. After they were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
Now, our customer can have peace of mind with her smooth and crack-free walkway! Are you experiencing something similar? Click HERE and schedule your FREE estimate today!
