Damp Basement Waterproofed and Concrete Repair in Rochester, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Rochester, MN noticed that a part of her basement was experiencing water leaks and that the concrete on her front walkway and back porch had been settling. We had done a basement waterproofing in the homeowner's basement before and so the homeowner decided to contact us to schedule her FREE estimate.

Solution

When our Sales Manager, Jesse H., arrived at the home, the homeowner informed him of all of her concerns and he came up with a plan that was within the homeowner's budget. Jesse recommended installing WaterGuard, our below-the-floor perimeter drain system, and CleanSpace, a vapor wall barrier to prevent water from permeating the walls, along the troublesome area. He also suggested PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam formula designed to accurately stabilize settling concrete, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant to seal the joints. After reviewing Jesse's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a week, our Foreman, Dylon M., and his crew arrived at the home to install PolyLevel and NexusPro. They began lifting the back porch and front walkway by drilling small holes into the concrete slabs and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, filling in the empty spaces. Once the slab has been lifted, the crew ensures it is level before sealing the holes with cement. Lastly, they used NexusPro along the joints of the back porch.

In about a month, our Foreman, Diego B., and his crew arrived to install 27ft of WaterGuard and CleanSpace. The crew first installed CleanSpace along the wall using drilled-in fasteners. Then, the edges are jackhammered and our WaterGuard rests on top and is backfilled with gravel. Lastly, the flooring is restored using concrete. Once they were done they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
