Sinking Walkway Lifted with PolyLevel in Oronoco, MN
Challenge
An industrial company noticed that their concrete walkway had begun settling and was concerned it would be a trip hazard for customers. The manager decided to address the issue as soon as possible and found our website. After browsing our website, the property manager was extremely impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to schedule his FREE estimate.
Solution
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Romeo V., arrived at the home to assess the walkway and to answer any questions. During the inspection, Romeo explained that one of the common causes of settling concrete slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils keeping the concrete slabs upright. Over time, this creates voids and gaps in the soil and the slab would sink. For this reason, Romeo recommended our PolyLevel, a waterproof highly durable polyurethane foam expanding formula that allows for leveling to settling slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant along the joints. After reviewing the proposal, the property manager decided to move forward with the project and scheduled the installment date.
In about a week, our Foreman, Jordan S., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slabs and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the settling slabs, expanding and filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the concrete slabs had been lifted to the desired level, the crew sealed the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew sealed the joints using our NexusPro. After they were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
Now, our customer can have peace of mind knowing his walkway is no longer a trip hazard! Have you noticed settling concrete on your property? Click HERE and schedule your FREE estimate today!
