Precautions We Are Taking to Stop the Spread

As we all know, COVID-19 is affecting the lives of many individuals throughout our region during this time. Not only is it a major health concern, but it is causing some severe economic challenges as well. American Waterworks is devoted to long-term strategy which will allow us to remain financially stable and continue to be a great place to work for all our employees after this health advisory is over. As always, the health, well-being and safety of our customers, employees and community members is our top priority. 

As of today, we are still receiving phone calls from customers asking if we are coming to their home. We are setting up appointments, writing estimates and our crews are installing at job sites. As long as we can safely sustain operations while following all protocols set by the CDC, we will continue to do so. 

Here are extra precautions we are taking to ensure the health of our customers, community and employees: 

1. Employees are advised to stay home if they are sick until they are symptom free.

2. Employees will respectfully refrain from shaking hands. 

3. We will enhance daily cleaning and disinfecting of all customer and employee spaces. We are making sure our crews use disinfecting spray/wipes to clean their work area each day, including their trucks and vans. 

4. Hand sanitizer and wipes are supplied at all employee work areas. 

5. All of our home shows are cancelled or postponed until further notice.
