Seven Solutions to Make Your Home Structurally Sound

A safe home starts with a strong foundation

Your home is an investment, so it's important to consider the health of every part of it. The areas you may not think to look at in detail are the very things that need to be checked. Signs of foundation damage vary from bowing walls and sagging floors to wall cracks and sticking windows. It's important to familiarize yourself with these signs so you catch it at the start and find a solution.

Why foundation repair is crucial:

A problem left unsolved won't disappear on its own. In many cases, ignoring a part of your foundation that's failing will lead to other issues. Unlike other kinds of home repairs, foundation repairs aren't a cosmetic fix, they're essential for safety. You want to feel confident in the health of your home and know you and your family are protected.

Whatever your needs may be, American Waterworks has the products to keep your foundation strong and secure.

A solution for every situation!

HelicalPiers and PushPiers

When your home rests on primary unstable soils, the foundation can start to sink. That's where HelicalPier and PushPier installations come in to play and save the day. They're used to stabilize the home and provide a sturdier base for it to rest on. Both products are carefully designed and installed in stronger, more secure soils and connect to the home's footing. The weight is then transferred through the piers to the more competent soil underneath, which permanently stabilizes and lifts the home.

PowerBrace and GeoLock Wall Anchors

Over the years, a home naturally wears down and basement and foundation walls may start to bow, or tilt. Our PowerBrace and GeoLock Wall Anchor products are designed to repair failing walls and even straighten them. The difference between these two products? PowerBrace is a steel beam installed within the home and is designed with a bridge bracket or lever bracket, depending on your home's construction. On the other hand, GeoLock Wall Anchors are designed with earth anchors placed outside of the home connected to anchor plates that are installed inside and against parts of the wall.

Which one is best for your home? That's up to our expert Design Specialists to decide when they inspect the home's needs during your FREE estimate!

ShotLock

ShotLock is a bit different than our other foundation repair products because it comes in the form of a reinforced spray-on concrete material. You can think of it as an addition to the previously mentioned PowerBrace product. The ShotLock is sprayed against your existing wall to provide extra strength and protection for deteriorating basement walls.

CarbonArmor

When a home's walls are bowed, or tilted, and a low-profile solution is desired, CarbonArmor is the perfect solution. This flexible, fiber material is ten times stronger than steel and works to quickly reinforce the problem walls and prevent them from bowing or tipping further.

SmartJacks

SmartJacks are used to support sagging beams. Steel columns, and in some cases, supplemental beams are installed to stop settling and work to raise the floor back up to its original level.
