Photo Album: Beautiful Basement Transformation in Jackson, MN

Ryan R. in Jackson, MN consistently had water leaking into his basement each time they experienced heavy rain. Ryan’s son was suffering from severe allergies and he believed that the wet basement was a large contributing factor. He wanted to completely gut and finish the basement to make it a healthier, usable space. He knew from his neighbors that we were the right company to fix his problem because we had previously waterproofed their home. He contacted us to receive a free estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Eric Hazelton, to his home to inspect his basement and develop the best solution for his needs. Ryan chose to have a full perimeter of our waterproofing system installed because he knew the importance of keeping the basement dry and getting it done right the first time. He also had 3 bowing walls in his basement, so Eric recommended wall anchors and wall defense to support and protect his walls before he finished the basement. Our production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard and sump pump. Then, they laid the WaterGuard drainage system and connected it to the TripleSafe sump pump so that water can properly flow through the drainage system and then be expelled from the home through the sump pump. They removed the old basement windows and installed the EverLast Basement Windows and SunHouse Window Wells. Then, they installed 7 wall anchors through the damaged walls and secured them into the soil outside of the home to support the walls. They also installed wall defense on a separate wall to prevent the wall from bowing in the future. Lastly, they replaced the concrete on the basement floor and installed Basement to Beautiful wall panels and sprayed the rim joists with our spray foam insulation to make the basement a dry, energy-efficient space. Ryan was impressed with the results and is glad he invested in protecting his basement before finishing that space.
