Photo Album: Wet Basement Restored in Lanesboro, MN

Heidi D. in Lanesboro, MN had a severely water-damaged basement, and she was concerned about the stability of her foundation. She started doing some research and was happy to learn that American Waterworks has been the leading foundation repair and waterproofing contractor in the region for 30 years! We sent our Design Specialist, Pete Wangen, to her home to evaluate the situation and to propose a unique solution that would fit her needs. We assured her that we could install our waterproofing system, along with a few SmartJacks to stabilize her floor. She approved of the plan and scheduled the installation. Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production team began the project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. Then, they installed 2 structural support jacks with supplemental beams to halt the downward movement of the floor and lift the failing floor joists. They sprayed the pockets in the foundation with our spray foam insulation to completely seal the space.  The crew installed 112 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system, our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, and CleanSpace wall vapor barrier. Then, they filled the gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Lastly, the crew installed our SaniDry dehumidifier to take care of the high humidity. Heidi was impressed with the crew and their work, and is glad she made the investment to protect her home.
