Photo Album: Waterproofing and Wall Restoration in Decorah, IA

Sarah F. in Decorah, IA contacted American Waterworks, because she was worried about the stability of her foundation wall and the water that was leaking in. She did her research and was glad to learn that American Waterworks has been waterproofing and restoring foundations for the last 30 years! We sent one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, to meet with her, evaluate the situation, and propose a unique solution for her home. She approved of the plan and moved forward with the project.  Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production crew got to work and removed the concrete along the length of the wall and installed our WaterGuard drainage system and recommended TripleSafe Sump pump. Then, they installed our Shotcrete Wall Restoration System along the weakening wall. Shotcrete works to stabilize the foundation with minimal disturbance. The fiber-reinforced mortar mixture is twice as strong as standard concrete. They finished the project with installing our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier to further protect the space from moisture and mold and give the space a bright clean look. Lastly, the crew installed 2 EverLast basement windows and SunHouse window well enclosures to provide a waterproof, visually appealing window that will last for years to come. Sarah was pleased with the results and can rest easy knowing her foundation is permanently stabilized.
