Waterproofing Church Basement in Lake Elmo, MN
Challenge
A church in Lake Elmo, MN had water leaking into their basement through the floor. This was not the first time they had experienced this problem and they were becoming more and more concerned about the air quality of the church and the health implications that a wet basement can cause. They knew that anytime they experienced a heavy rain, they would have to deal with a wet basement, so they decided to look into waterproofing their basement.
Solution
American Waterworks was able to successfully waterproof the basement of the church by installing our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the basement floor and a TripleSafe sump pump. We connected the WaterGuard to the sump pump so that water would now be properly guided to the sump and would then be discharged from the building. We also put a SaniDry dehumidifier in the basement to control the humidity. We connected the dehumidifier to the WaterGuard so that the condensation would also be drained to the sump pump. The basement of the church has since be a dry and healthier space.
