Wet Basement Transformed into Healthier, Livable Space

Challenge

Sandy A. in Stacyville, IA was suffering from water seeping into her basement. The water was coming through where the wall meets the floor and she was concerned that her air quality was being compromised. She talked to a friend about the problems with her basement and her friend referred her to American Waterworks. She contacted us for a free estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Girgen, to inspect her basement and design the right solution for her waterproofing needs. She was pleased with Jeremy’s detailed plan, so she chose to move forward with having our waterproofing system installed.

Solution

Our crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement floor, a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner, four EverLast basement windows, and ZenWall wall panels. We also set up a SaniDry dehumidifier in her basement to control the humidity. The installation process took a couple of days, but now Sandy's basement is a beautiful, dry and healthy space. She was very pleased with the work our crew did and she is confident that her basement will remain dry. She is happy she chose a long-term solution!
