Water Seeping into Basement in Ridgeway, IA

Challenge

Todd Teslow in Ridgeway, IA had water seeping up through his basement floor. He was left with a big mess after each heavy rainfall and he decided it was time to call American Waterworks. He had previously met one of our Design Specialists at a local home show and was impressed with our company, so he scheduled a free estimate. Our Design Specialist, Mac Cole, created a well thought out plan to waterproof his basement with WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump.

Solution

Our crew started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. They also installed a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner of the basement and connected it to the drainage system. They filled back the gaps in the floor with rock and then replaced the concrete. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard, into the sump pump, and then discharged from the home. Todd is now enjoying a dry, healthier basement!
