Basement in Sparta, WI Gets Waterproofed

Challenge

John H. in Sparta, WI noticed a musty smell coming from his basement and he realized he had water leaking into his unfinished basement. He used his basement as a storage space and he was concerned about the air quality in his home. He also didn’t want his property to become damaged from the water. He decided to call the waterproofing experts at American Waterworks to receive a free estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Mike Radosevich, went onsite to inspect his basement and developed a thorough solution to waterproof his basement. John was impressed with our solution, so he scheduled the installation.

Solution

Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement floor. This drainage system is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. They also installed our TripleSafe sump pump- which is our most reliable sump pump system. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard and into the sump pump. From there, the water is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Shortly after the installation, John contacted us to thank us and to let us know how pleased he is with all aspects of our company! John’s peace of mind is restored, and he can now enjoy a dry, healthier basement for years to come.
