Wet Basement in Hager City, WI Gets Waterproofed

Challenge

Samantha H. in Hager City, WI noticed water damage on her drywall and water seeping through the crack where the wall meets the floor. She removed a portion of the drywall to investigate further, and she found that water was leaking through her block foundation. After researching her options, she decided to call American Waterworks to receive a free estimate. Our Design Specialist, Jeremy Radtke, went to her home to inspect the problem in her basement and create the right long-term solution.

Solution

Jeremy created a thorough plan to waterproof her basement using WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump and our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Our production crew started the installation by removing the bottom half of the drywall and removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench. Then, they laid the WaterGuard drainage system and installed the sump pump. The WaterGuard connects to the sump pump and now properly guides the water into the sump pump basket. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Lastly, our crew installed a half wall of our CleanSpace vapor barrier to protect her basement from any moisture seeping through the foundation. Samantha is now enjoying a dry, healthier basement!
