Wet Basement in Wanamingo, MN Gets Waterproofed

Challenge

Judy D. in Wanamingo, MN experienced a heavy rainstorm and noticed the following day that she had water in her basement. After further inspection, she realized the water was seeping through her basement walls and through the crack where the wall meets the floor. She decided to contact American Waterworks to receive a free waterproofing estimate.

Solution

Our Design Specialist, Rick Weber, developed a thorough waterproofing plan to keep her basement dry for many years to come. Our production team started the installation of our waterproofing system by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard drainage system and the sump pump. They installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier along the basement walls to keep out moisture and to prevent from potential mold growth. Then, they installed the TripleSafe sump pump and WaterGuard drainage system, which connects to the sump pump. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard into the sump pump, and then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Since the installation, Judy has been able to enjoy a dry, healthier basement!
