Water Seeping into Basement in Emmons, MN

Challenge

These homeowners were experiencing water seeping into their basement each spring. They had tried a couple of quick fixes, but nothing would last. They decided to call American Waterworks to receive a free estimate. Our Design Specialist, Pete Wangen, went onsite to inspect their basement and develop a thorough, long-term plan to waterproof their basement.

Solution

Our production crew installed our waterproofing system by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard drainage system. Then, they installed a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner of the basement, and our CleanSpace vapor barrier system along each wall. The vapor barrier protects from moisture, potential mold growth, and makes the room a bright, clean space. Any water leaking into their basement is now being guided through the WaterGuard and into the sump pump where it is then discharged from the home.
