Waterproofing System Installed into Home in Janesville, MN
Challenge
Alvin K. had water seeping through his foundation, which unfortunately ruined the carpet in his finished basement. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a free waterproofing estimate. One of our Design Specialists went to his home to inspect the basement and design a personalized plan. Alvin was pleased with our plan to waterproof his basement, so he scheduled the installation.
Solution
Our production crew started installing our WaterGuard drainage system by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor and digging out a pit in the corner for the sump pump. Then, they laid the WaterGuard drainage system and installed the sump pump. The drainage system connects to the sump pump so that water can properly drain to the basket, and then be expelled from the home through the discharge line. They filled back the gaps in the floor with rock and then replaced the concrete. The entire project only took one day to complete, and now Alvin is enjoying a dry, healthier basement.
