Basement in Minneota, MN Gets Waterproofed

Challenge

Brad C. in Minneota, MN had cracked and bowing walls in his basement. He also noticed that water was leaking through the foundation, which was creating a musty, unhealthy space. His basement was drastically colder than the rest of his home, so he started looking into waterproofing and insulation products to solve his problem. During his search, he discovered American Waterworks and was impressed with the previous projects we’ve completed. He contacted us for a free estimate.

Solution

Our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, inspected his basement and developed a thorough plan to waterproof the basement and permanently repair the foundation walls. We installed wall anchors along the damaged walls, which immediately halted any further movement, straightened the walls and provide permanent stability. Then, we removed the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for our WaterGuard drainage system and sump pump. We installed the WaterGuard and connected it to our TripleSafe sump pump- which is our most reliable sump pump, backed by three layers of protection. Then, we replaced the concrete over the drainage system and around the sump pump. Lastly, we installed our Basement to Beautiful wall panels around the perimeter of the basement. These wall panels are the superior choice to create a dry, healthy, and energy-efficient space.
