Water Leaking Into Basement in Freeborn, MN

Challenge

Arik in Freeborn, MN was suffering from water seeping into his basement. He was using the basement for storage, and some of his belongings had been ruined by the water damage. He was also experiencing a musty smell throughout his home. Arik started researching waterproofing contractors, and he discovered the American Waterworks website. After meeting with our Design Specialist and receiving a free estimate, he chose to have our waterproofing system installed.

Solution

Our production team removed the concrete along the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench. They laid our WaterGuard drainage system in the trench and the SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the basement. The WaterGuard connects to the sump pump and properly guides water into the sump basket, where it is then expelled from the home through the discharge line. They replaced the concrete over the WaterGuard and around the sump pump. Lastly, they buried the discharge line in the soil outside of the home. This is where the water exits the home.
