Wet Basement in Lime Springs, IA Gets Waterproofed
Challenge
Roger F. in Lime Springs, IA was suffering from water leaking into his basement. He did not have a sump pump installed in his basement, so the water that was seeping through his foundation had no way to exit the basement. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a free waterproofing estimate. After meeting with our Design Specialist and learning about our system, he chose to move forward with the project.
Solution
Our production crew removed a section of the concrete floor to install the sump pump. They placed the basket in the hole they created and installed the pump. They also removed a section of the perimeter of the concrete floor to create a trench for our WaterGuard drainage system. The WaterGuard now properly drains water into the sump pump and expels water through the discharge line. Lastly, we installed an upright SaniDry dehumidifier to draw moisture out of the space and control the humidity.
