Wet Basement in Currie, MN Gets Waterproofed

Challenge

Mark G. in Currie, MN had water building up in his block foundation. The water started leaking through his block foundation walls into his basement, creating pools of water and making the basement an unhealthy space. After researching waterproofing contractors, he decided that American Waterworks was the best fit for him, so he contacted us for a free estimate.

Solution

After meeting with one of our Design Specialists, Mark felt confident in our system and was ready to have it installed. Our production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. They set the WaterGuard in place and then filled back the gaps with rock. They also installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump and a battery backup. The CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed along the basement walls to prevent potential mold growth and keep moisture out. Lastly, they replaced the concrete and cleaned their work area. Mark was pleased with the result and is happy to have a dry and healthier basement.
