Church Basement in McIntire, IA Gets Waterproofed
Challenge
Terry T. was a property manager for a church in McIntire, IA. He contacted American Waterworks regarding water leaking into the basement. He noticed that water had been seeping through a crack in the foundation for quite some time, and they were getting concerned about the damage it was causing and the quality of air. One of our Design Specialists met with Terry to develop a unique solution to fit his goals and the needs of the building. He was impressed with our thorough plan and the quality of our products, so he moved forward with the installation.
Solution
Our production team removed a portion of the concrete floor in the basement to install the WaterGuard drainage system and our TripleSafe sump pump. Then, they installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier system which protects the space from moisture and potential mold growth. Lastly, they replaced the concrete and cleaned their work area. The process only took one day to complete, and now the congregation no longer has to be concerned about the health implications that can be caused by a wet basement.
