Wet Basement Restored in Pipestone, MN
Challenge
Megan M. in Pipestone, MN had an old sump pump in her home, but continued to have water leaking into her basement in several areas. She contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton, presented her with our products and a unique solution to fit her needs. She approved of the plan and scheduled the installation.
Solution
Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his crew started the project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor. Then, they installed 158 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system and feed line. Next, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump and our CleanSpace vapor barrier system along the basement walls to protect her basement from moisture and potential mold growth. Water now drains through the WaterGuard into the sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and is expelled from the home.
